Serves: 2 – 3 people
Ingredients:
- 200 ml ELAIESE Red Palm Oil
- 2 Shallots (chopped)
- 2 tbsp Soy Souce
- 70 g of Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ¼ pinch of 5 Spice Powder
Instructions:
- Heat the wok over medium low heat and add 6 tbsp of red palm oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add in the chopped shallots and sauté until golden brown.
- Pour the soy sauce around the edge of the wok or pan to give it a smoky flavour. Stir fry the mixture for 2 minutes.
- Add the remaining red palm oil, red pepper flakes, sugar, salt and 5 spice powder. Stir fry for 2 minutes or until aromatic.
- Remove from heat and let it cool, then store it in an air-tight container.
