Banana Cake with Chocolate Chips

Difficulty: Easy

Serves: 2 – 3 people

Ingredients:

  • 4 Bananas (mashed)
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 80 g of Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • 1 ½ tbsp ELAIESE Red Palm Oil
  • 80 g of Sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g of All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 100 g of Chocolate Chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius. Line a rectangle baking tin with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Add the milk, melted butter, red palm oil, sugar and eggs into the bowl. Mix using a whisk.
  3. Sift in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into the banana mixture. Fold gently until well combined.
  4. Add in the chocolate chips and transfer the banana mixture into the baking tin.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until a metal skewer comes out clean when you put it in the middle of the cake.
