Fresh Basil Pesto

Difficulty: Easy

Serves: 2 – 3 people (*serving 2 cups)

Ingredients:

  • 150 g (3 packets) of Fresh Sweet Basil Leaves                                                     
  • 3 tbsp Pine Nuts/ Walnuts        
  • 2 cloves of Garlic
  • 200 ml ELAIESE Red Palm Oil
  • 5 tbsp Parmesan Cheese (grated)                                                   

Instructions:

  1. Combine basil leaves, pine nuts or walnut, and garlic in a food processor. Process the mixture until it reaches a paste-like texture.
  2. Pour in the red palm oil little by little and continue to process the mixture until smooth. Repeat this step until all the oil is used up.
  3. Add the cheese and process very briefly just enough to combine.
  4. Transfer to an air-tight container or jar and store it in the refrigerator.
  5. Serve with bread or pasta.
