Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the leading cause of end stage liver diseases worldwide. Understanding NAFLD prevalence and trends over time at the national levels is critical to understanding the NAFLD disease burden and creating more tailored prevention strategies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the 5 June 2021, Sime Darby Oils Nutrition organized a Continuous Medical Education (CME) webinar on \u201cManagement of Fatty Liver Disease\u201d with Prof Raja Affendi Raja Ali as the keynote speaker. Prof Affendi is the Dean & Professor of Medicine, Consultant Physician in Gastroenterology & Hepatology in the National University of Malaysia Medical Centre and brings forth a wealth of experience in the subject matter as a renowned key opinion leader in the medical field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There were 150 participants comprising of General Practitioners (GPs), Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists in Malaysia and Singapore. In the presentation, Prof Raja shared with us the best practices in the diagnosis and management of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, whilst sharing his case studies using NATRIEO Tri. E Tocotrienols in treating his NAFLD patients in the last 3 years. These case studies illustrated the positive outcomes that he has received in the usage of Tocotrienols in the treatment of fatty liver conditions as an adjuvant therapy alongside lifestyle modification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
