Serves: 2 – 3 people
Ingredients:
Ingredients for French Toast
- 2 Eggs
 - 40 ml of Cream
 - 40 ml of Milk
 - 25 g of Sugar
 - ½ tsp of Ground Cinnamon
 - 1 tbsp of Elaiese’s Red Palm Oil
 - 2 slices of White Bread (halved)
 - 15g of Peanuts (toasted) as garnish
 - Maple Syrup as garnish
 - Icing Sugar as garnish
 
Ingredients for Berry Compote
- 40 g of Sugar
 - 15 ml of Orange Juice (Frozen Mixed)
 - 150 g of Berries
 
Instructions:
- To make the toast, place the eggs, cream and milk in a bowl. Whisk until well combined.
 - Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. And set aside.
 - Pour the red palm oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Dip the bread, 1 at a time into the egg mixture until soaked.
 - Cook the bread on the pan until each side is golden brown in colour and toss the toast in the sugar mixture to coat.
 - To make the berry compote, place sugar and orange juice in a small saucepan. Stir and bring the mixture to a boil and let it cook until mixture is slightly thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the frozen berries.
 - Serve the toast with maple syrup, berry compote, toasted peanuts and garnish with icing sugar.
